Information on the World Series Of Poker

The World series of poker or as known for the initials WSOP takes place in Las Vegas.The First WSOP took place in the Horseshoe Casino in 1970, six of the most known poker players were invited by Benny Binion(A well known casino owner and mobster).After twelve years the WSOP drew in 52 participants, also in the early 80's satellite tournaments were introduced.WSOP continued growing there were 2,100 entrants by 1987 and in 2006 the main event peaked having 8,773 competing players.

A single tournament which is referred to as the "Main Event" took place in the World series of poker, later on takes place the "Main Event Final Table".The greatest prize a players can win is what is called The World Series of Poker bracelet, winners show it in any opportunity, it is one of the best trophy or prize available and has been awarded on every event at the annual WSOP since 1976, although victories prior to 1976 are also known as "bracelets".
